Speed Up Windows 7 Make Windows 7 Faster !

This is some steps to make your Windows 7 faster

1.Change your theme to windows classic or contrast style
start -> control panel->appearance and personalization
choose change the theme ,choose windows classic or contrast style

2.Disable Windows 7 unnecessary services
go to search bar ,type this : services.msc

This is the services that can be disable / set to manual

Protected Storage
Remote Registry (Always disable it for Security purposes)

Server (If your computer is not connected to any network)

TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
Themes ( If you use Windows Classic theme)
Windows Error Reporting Service
Windows Media Center Service Launcher
Windows Search (set to manual)
Windows Time (If you don't want to update system tray clock time using Internet)


3.Set your startup option
type msconfig in your search bar,click startup tab,choose your unnecessary program nad uncheck unnecessary startup program from startup list

4 Set advanced option in windows explorer

Right-click on Computer icon on Desktop and select Properties (or press WIN + Pause/Break keys). Now click on Advanced system settings link in left side pane (You can open it directly by giving sysdm.cpl command in RUN or start menu search box). Now click on Settings button in Performance section.

check on the option only these:

Show thumbnails instead of icons (If you want to show thumbnails in Explorer)
Show window contents while dragging (If you want windows to show contents while moving them)
Smooth edges of screen fonts (If you want to show smooth fonts)
Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop (If you want to show shadows under desktop icon labels)
Use visual styles on windows and buttons (If you want to use Windows Aero or Basic theme)

5.Set view option in windows explorer

Open Windows Explorer and go to "Organize -> Folder and Search Options" and click on "View" tab.

Now disable this:

Display file size information in folder tips
Hide extensions for known file types
Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color
Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items

6.Speed up Windows 7: Change Taskbar Thumbnail Preview Time

Click on Start, enter “regedit” into the search field.
Goto: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse
Double-click on “MouseHoverTime” and change the value to 100 or lower

7.Speed Up Windows 7 Shutdown Time

Open the registry editor (enter regedit into search field)
Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control”
Lower the value (12000 is the default value = 12 seconds) to a value of your choice

8.Uninstall programs that you don't use anymore on your computer

9.Defrag your hard drive with good defrag software.
